Sia

Bern

Sia is a voice movement artist with international therapeutic and artistic training as a vocalist and dancer. Her specialty lies in Improvisation and Instant Composition. There was never a time that Sia was not dancing and singing. From a very early age she kept exploring different musicalities and various movement approaches with endless curiosity. After researching, studying, performing, teaching and holding both creative and therapeutic spaces through music, voice, dance, movement, somatics and improvisation for more than 15 years, Sia has fallen in love with partner & social dancing. While today she dances a broad variety of different styles and traditions, it appears to be Fusion Dance in particular that allows her to weave all of those areas and components of her work, research and joy together. As a musician & singer she approaches dance from a deep sense of listening, to the musicality in movement, breath and contact, with oneself and others. —> Instagram accounts: @sia.sofia.vma

It was in Costa Rica, his native country, that Rolando began his artistic journey through various disciplines: drawing, theater, hip hop, and dancing. After arriving in Paris in 2014, he quickly fell in love with West Coast Swing. Later, in 2019, he moved to Lille and discovered Fusion. He dedicated himself to developing the local fusion dance community by organizing weekly classes and social parties. Rolando is recognized for his dance style which prioritizes connection and harmony with his partner, as well as his rich teaching, where technique serves in the exploration of sensations and artistic expression. —> Instagram accounts: @cruz_marquez_

Yann

Bordeaux,Valencia

Yann has been dancing since he was a child, performing his first ecstatic spins in folk dances and expressive movements in contemporary dance. Dance and music have always been present in his life and guided his desire to explore movement and the mysteries of communication in partner dancing. He became interested in various partner dances, such as forró, salsa, swing, blues, wcs, etc., but it is above all in tango, a dance he has been practising for 14 years, that he has deepened his understanding of the relationship with the other in dance. He continues to explore his technique by giving classes and seminars in Valencia. In 2019, she fell in love with fusion dance, which was like finding what she had always been looking for in other dances: a field of experimentation and communication between two people. She began to create fusion parties and classes in Valencia with her partner to continue exploring what moves us to dance as a couple.

Aida&Arnold,

Valencia,Barcelona

Hello everyone!! We’re Aida and Arnold, and this will be our third year cooking at this fantastic event. We love being part of this experience from the kitchen, which is one of the places where we most enjoy serving, creating and sharing. We cook homemade, delicious, hearty food with lots of love, paying close attention to the ingredients, the flavour and also the energy with which we prepare each dish. It makes us happy to feed people who come to open up, dance, connect and live beautifully, because we feel that food can also accompany all of that. So we’ll be there, amongst pots, spices and the odd song, delighted to look after you through what we do best. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Ruth

Valencia,Barcelona

Ruth Educator, researcher and interdisciplinary dancer. Ruth has been exploring body language through individual and partner dance for over 20 years. Her journey spans a wide variety of styles and cultures: Brazilian zouk, West Coast swing, forró, blues, lindy hop, kizomba, samba de gafieira, tango, Latin dances, bal folk, samba no pé, African dance, oriental dance... Since her encounter with fusion dance in 2015, during the Fusion Experience organised by Valencia Blues Revolution, she has experienced it as a space of freedom and listening where all body languages are put at the service of connection and co-creation. Her dance is deeply influenced and nourished by the Liberato Method, created by Xandy Liberato, with whom she has trained continuously since 2015 and with whom she worked body and soul between 2018 and 2022 on the research, development and systematisation of the method. She is currently an authorised Liberato Dance facilitator in the Barcelona area, where she teaches weekly classes and organises social gatherings. She is also a sound and vocal therapist and is training in body and movement therapy.
